Brandon’s lyrics (IMHO) perfectly respond to Isaiah 43:2. It’s often in rough waters that I, and if we’re honest all of us, tend to lean on God more or turn to Him for the first time. Before you stop reading, I am 1000% saying this to & about myself and it is okay if this is your experience. God does not care what brings you to Him, just that you come.

“Surrender” has been my focus word this year, and it wasn’t until recently that I realized I had started to let go and give more to God in one of my areas of struggle, finances. After being laid off about six weeks ago, I now see that I have been trying to control my finances on my own, pushing to figure out how to earn more money and do things I thought I needed or was meant to do. 

These past weeks have been rough waters for me as a single woman trying to figure out expenses on unemployment. As I tread these waters I also know that I am blessed. I know you may be reading this with WAY rougher waters than me and I pray you find what I have which is God’s love. “Lost in Your Love” is the title of Brandon’s song and it says it all. When I’m lost, hurt, anxious, afraid, or worried, I know I can turn to God and get lost in His love instead. While the circumstances may not change in my favor in the time I want, I have faith and know that God is with me because… 👇👇
