“Jesus Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood popped into mind today, but in a slightly different message: “Jesus Take the Fatigue!” 🎵😴😭😆
I know I went a little crazy on the emojis there, but that shows you how delirious I am right now, too. I have been battling stomach issues for over a month, to where I cannot eat much in a day. Low calorie intake = Delirious for me! I am working on solutions with my doctor, but in the meantime, I am starting to feel the fatigue and exhaustion from not getting enough nutrients.
This is eye-opening as I’m prepping to go help on a local Mission Trip this weekend because I have been trying to set my focus on God and others recently. I had the thought today that while I am exhausted from less food than I’m used to, I am still absolutely blessed! There are obviously people around the world and in my neighborhood who do not have the luxury of having a consistent food source. So while I am truly exhausted from my unknown sickness, I am reminded how God has and will continue to bless me.
At the same time, I pray that God helps heal my stomach not only for this weekend so I can focus on serving others, but after as well, so I can continue His good work.
God, bless our Mission Trip this weekend. Keep all of us safe, adults and students. I pray that we can be Your hands and feet not only this weekend, but that it may spark all of us to serve more when we get home as well. I pray this in Your Name. Amen.
