Introverted, Awkward, and Learning to Pray

Eyes closed tight. Hands folded in sweaty palms. Heart pounding, pulse racing. Words coming out of your mouth that you didn’t even plan. Then, a quick peek with one eye around the room. Are they gettin’ my cues to say ‘Amen’ with me? Nope, I just see eyes closed and heads nodding. Okay, I’ll keep talking some more and hope ‘Amen’ comes soon!

Does anyone else feel this way when praying out loud with others?!? As someone fairly new to praying out loud for others without using a known prayer, my awkward-introverted self comes out all the time! I have started having a few ‘prayer enders,’ as I’m calling them, in my back pocket (not literally, but that could work too). Here they are in a graphic, and if you need a giggle today, a video from my TikTok post today too! Hope it helps, and let me know if you have some favs too.
