Finding Words Again: Prayer Prompts Inspired by Psalms

Blank.
Blank pages.
Empty.
Empty thoughts.
Full.
Full of prayer.
Filled.
Filled with God’s Spirit.
I don’t know about you, but there are lots of days when my page to write is blank, or the space in my mind is empty when I try to pray. If you have those kinds of days, I want to give you 5 prayer prompts to help you during the most important part of your day, your prayer life:
- Stressed: Lord, I know You are my refuge and strength. Help me today with my stress on…(inspired by Psalms 46:1)
- Gratitude: King of Kings, You have blessed me with so many things from the seemingly tiny to the BIG surprises. I want to thank you today for…
- Guidance: Father God, show me your ways today. I need help with…(inspired by Psalms 24:4-5)
- Anger: God, help me surrender the anger I am holding today to You. I am so angry with…
- Confusion/Void of Starting Point: Heavenly Father, I know Your word is a lamp unto my feet, please light my path today. I am confused… (inspired by Psalms 119:105).
You may have noticed that almost all of the prompts I listed are inspired by Psalms. If you have never read the Psalms as a prayer to help with any and all emotions, I encourage you today to start with these, then explore more Psalms through a prayer lens.
I would love to hear your favorite Psalm to pray with, too!
See you in the next post,
with faith and a little fur 🐾
