“It’s okay. Don’t be afraid,” my owner tells me this all the time!
When there’s a rumble in the sky, and it frightens me, he looks at me with loving eyes and says, “Don’t be afraid.”
Walking down the sidewalk, another furry friend starts to curl their lip and growls at me. I get anxious ‘cuz what if they really want to hurt me. “Don’t be afraid,” my owner tells me.
Curled up on the couch, all of a sudden, that scary music comes on, and I don’t know what it means, but my hackles are up for sure! “Don’t be afraid,” he tells me again with his arms around me for double comfort.
Other times, I hear weird noises from behind our fence, and I’m not sure what they are, so I get scared. “Don’t be afraid,” he continues to tell me.
Every time I feel frightened, scared, anxious, confused, or any other feeling I don’t know what to do with, I know my owner is there to comfort me and tell me, “Don’t be afraid.”

I won’t always know what the scary noise is, why I feel frightened, or understand why things are happening, but I know my owner is always with me, even when I can’t see him. I immediately feel better, I feel safe, and I know I am loved.
“Don’t be afraid” (Matthew 28:5)
“ Do not be afraid” (Joshua 1:9)
“Don’t be afraid!” (Luke 2:10)
“Don’t be afraid!” (Revelations 1:17)
And countless others!
With lots of faith and a little fur 🐾
