Double-Dog Tired!

Dry hands from cardboard overload. Dirty paws from digging up weeds (someone’s gotta my pups say). Double-Dog tired over here for sure!

This week was a full week for me, being my first week to work my full-time job as Associate Director of Student Ministry AND UPS Seasonal Driver. I am beyond blessed and very thankful not only to have two jobs but that I have a boss who allows me to do part-time side hustles to meet bills. I don’t say that lightly because if you have been reading my blog, you may have stumbled across how I was laid off this year, so I know how blessed it is to be able to work. That being said, I’m very tired as I write this at the end of the week, but 100% happy.

When I came home, I was greeted by my two pups. First, the loud greeting of my beagle telling me all about what happened while I was gone. Then the full-contact greeting of my GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer mix) as he wiggled and snuggled up against me. All I could think of was ā€˜this is what makes it all worth it!’

As they settled down a bit, I was able to settle down from my long work week, too. Porch prayer time was in full effect tonight as I talked with my Father (God) all about it, as my two pups relaxed and played outside. Actually, THAT is what makes it all worth it, coming home to have time with God and thank Him for all my blessings, even the harder ones.Ā

ā€œAnd give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.ā€ (Ephesians 5:20)

See ya in the next post, with
