The cool breeze blew little Abby’s hair out of her face, almost like it was helping her so she could have a clear view of the sky above.
“Oh oh oh! Look, there’s an elephant! Do you see it, Mom?” Abby squealed with excitement.
Her mom sat beside her on the blanket, squinting to make out the white elephant floating in the sky. “I see it now, my little Cloud Creator!” she said. Abby had an amazing imagination, and one of her specialties was finding pictures in the clouds. “Ok, I’m stumped on that cluster of clouds,” her mom said, pointing.” What do you think, Abby?

“Hmmm,” Abby said, tilting her head and squinting, tuning into her inner creativity. “A girl knight slaying a dragon!”
“Best one yet,” her Mom giggled as she pulled her into a hug.
Abby pushed back a little to look her mom in her eyes, “What makes those shapes in the clouds? They change every day, and some of my friends can’t even see them.”
“Let me ask you this? Who made you and me?” her mom smiled back at her daughter.
“God!” Abby shouted, “I remember that from Sunday School and you and Daddy telling me that.”
“So who do you think made the clouds?” her mom asked.
“Oh! God did too! Wow! God made all those cool shapes for me to find. Cloud hunting and creating makes me so happy!” Abby snuggled back into her mom’s hug.
Her mom smiled down at Abby, “You got it, kiddo! God made everything for us because He loves us so much. God made things like the clouds to make us happy and show us how much He loves us. The thing is, sometimes we have to slow down and concentrate to find the joy God has given us, just like when you have to slow down to focus on the clouds to find hidden pictures. Isn’t that cool?”
“The coolest! I love God, Mom, and I love you!” Abby’s eyes drifted back up to the clouds.
“Me too, sweet girl. I love you, and I love our God,” her Mom’s eyes drifted to her daughter’s face.
‘God is good. Thank you for loving us so much,’ she thought, as their cloud-creation time continued on.
