“Who am I?” Words from Moses, asking when God calls him to help deliver the Israelites from slavery to Pharaoh. God simply replies, “I will be with you.” (Paraphrased from Exodus 3:11-12).
It took me a long time to connect with the Old Testament and see myself in it, but I absolutely relate to Moses here.
“Tell that person that piece of your testimony. They need to hear it to know Me.”
“Go serve at that organization. Be My hands and feet.”
“Take that job position. It’s not the one you expected, but I have plans for you to spread My love there.”
“Stand up to them. Tell them I Am Lord.”
I hear whispers like that all the time, and I know they are from God. Just like Moses, I ask, “Who am I?” I think I’m not enough; I’m unqualified; someone else will do that task; surely I misheard God, and the excuses start.
As I read Exodus this morning, I’m holding on to God’s response: “I will be with you.” I know I will not be perfect, and I’ll make more excuses, but I pray I step out with more confidence in God and keep listening to Him.

With faith,
