I will obey God, not my past.
A past that tries to drag me back to moments of highs followed by emptiness.
God will never leave me lonely or empty.
I will obey God, not my scale.
A scale that tries to measure my worth by a number that doesn’t reflect my true strength.
My strength comes from God, and my body is His temple.
I will obey God, not worldly success.
Success that tries to distract and pull me away, tries to make me step on others to get it.
God has plans for me that I cannot fathom.
I will obey God, not hustle culture.
Hustle culture that tries to make me think my worth is in how busy I can stay.
God invites me to slow down and draw near Him.
I will obey God, not perfectionism.
Perfectionism that I am not meant to strive for because
God loves me, ‘imperfections’ and all.

Such a beautiful write up🌹. In addition to yours, I’ll say, I will obey God, not my worldly desires. So help me God 🙏🏾
